Use traffic information for sustainable mobility! Make Data available and ensure its quality! Experiences from Baden-Württemberg and European action needed

Background

Administrations, the mobility industry and many other players need planning and investment security for sustainable and climate-friendly mobility. Mobility data play a special role here - digital information about traffic on the road and rail, by bicycles and on foot. The EU and the federal government, the state and the municipalities must work together with mobility providers.

A consciously designed digital architecture is prerequisite for innovative mobility services and intelligent traffic control across all forms of mobility. With MobiData BW, Baden-Württemberg has set up a statewide mobility data platform. The platform uses the open data principle and offers data sets and free software components for administration, research and the start-up scene. Municipalities play a key role in the expansion of the platform and the use of the data because only at this level do data innovations arise that solve local problems.

During the event, the Baden-Württemberg approach will be presented. EU-wide approaches will be examined as well before a joint panel discussion concludes the programme. Debate the upcoming political framework with us!
